About Butlers Farm Picture
Immediate Surrondings (Wrabness)
The village of Wrabness is on the Stour estuary. In Wrabness we have plenty of public footpaths, with walks through woods, we have 3 nature reserves with good bird watching, and along the river is "the Essex Way", a long distance footpath which can take you all the way to Epping. The river is used a lot for sailing, fishing, birdwatching and swimming in the summer.
Constable country is 15 min away; here you can see a lot of the places made famous by the painter John Constable. With the lovely villages of Dedham and Flatford where you can hire rowing boats. All along the river is an area of outstanding beauty were you could go for walks, have picnics or enjoy the national trusts teashop.
There are several restaurants and teashops in the area, some of them right next to the river. And off course you can also visit the numerous pubs in the area.
